Wisconsin is second to Michigan in the length of its Great Lakes coastline.Wikipedia
These Amazing Spots Near New London, Wisconsin (Hatten Park) Are Perfect To Go Fishing
Few things in the world are more relaxing – or more exciting, depending on the day – than fishing. With so many freshwater lakes and rivers, fishing in New London, Wisconsin (Hatten Park) is top-rated. From fly fishing to shore casting, here are some of the best spots to try your luck. Please note, that these aren’t ranked in any particular order, but we have mentioned some of the fish you’re most likely to catch.
Two Rivers in One
The upper and lower segments of the Wolf River are vastly different, and the river’s two halves present fishing opportunities and challenges all their own. Broad and deep, the lower section of the river is primarily a warm-water fishery, best known for its bountiful spring walleye run. Largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, catfish, crappie, white bass and perch are also available in the lower Wolf River from Lake Winnebago upstream to the city of New London. North of New London, the river gradually becomes shallower, narrower and rockier, and trout become more prevalent the farther upstream you go. The upper Wolf River is Wisconsin’s largest trout stream, with ample populations of brook, brown and rainbow trout.
Lower Wolf River Fishing
The walleye run in the lower Wolf River begins in mid-March and continues through May, with the best fishing taking place during the month of April. Target protected river bends and shallow sand flats using live minnows, crankbaits and jigs tipped with bright-colored soft plastic baits. As the walleye run slows down, white bass take their place, followed by crappie and perch. Smaller jigs and minnow-imitating lures can effectively catch any of these species. Fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass hits its peak in June and lasts all through the summer, with lots of big fish around rocky shorelines, deep pools and all sorts of submerged cover. Summer also finds northern pike around weed beds and catfish in deep holes. As summer turns to fall, white bass make a second spawning run, and walleye fishing begins to heat up once again, with some of the best action taking place at night.
Upper Wolf River Fishing
Trout fishing in the upper Wolf River is at its best in early summer and early fall, but early spring can also yield significant catches, and the dog days of summer can also be productive if the water doesn’t get too warm. Wild brook trout reproduce naturally in the river, particularly in the area around its confluence with the Hunting River, while browns and rainbows are widely available due to frequent stocking by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Fly-fishermen often find success by casting flies that mimic mayflies, caddis flies, stoneflies and other insect species that hatch annually along the river. Focus your efforts on deep pools, undercut banks, boulders, shady spots and current breaks. Some areas are navigable by canoe or kayak, but wading or walking along the bank is typically the best way to fish the upper river.

1.Buyer Guide for Kayaks Paddles
I went shopping online at 4 different online stores to find the right paddle for my kayak.
The first store I went to was REI to get more infomation about buying the right paddle for my new kayak. There are a few thing to think about shift, blade, material and price, and last length. By choosing the right paddle you can save yourself a lot energy. Here is some information from REI:
Figuring out the right size (length) of paddle is surprisingly straightforward. The wider your boat is, the longer your paddle needs to be. Your height is also a factor, especially for a narrower boat: Taller paddlers need longer paddles.

I like traveling and trying new things. I have been to 20 different city this past month. I have enjoy good food, good weather, roof top bars, and the beach. I also have enjoy learning and listening to interesting people. There are different rental programs across the country at universities and colleges. I came a cross a program about the local University of North Florida (UNF), they offer “Gear Check-out & Adventure Trips.” The students can use the gear for free, for example, kayaks, canoing, and rock climbing.
The programs offered University of North Florida (UNF) allow students, staff and visitors to learn about team work in different environment. I like to see programs like that be very success like it is at our local university.
